The Leavell Language Development Program provides hand eye coordination diagnosis and therapy for stutterers and individuals with reading problems.

Based on the concept of eye control as distinct from "eye predominance" - therefore the program can establish unilaterality (which eye is dominant) by stimulating binocularity (the ability of the eyes to function together) on the side of the dominant hand. Comprised of neuro-psychological tests to determine if the problem is due to lack of oculomotor (hand eye) coordination and training for mirror writers, non-verbal children and reversal speech cases Pad of exercise material includes both drawings of familiar objects and two to three word phrases
