The Leavell Language Development Program provides hand eye coordination diagnosis and therapy for stutterers and individuals with reading problems.

  • Based on the concept of eye control as distinct from “eye predominance” – therefore the program can establish unilaterality (which eye is dominant) by stimulating binocularity (the ability of the eyes to function together) on the side of the dominant hand.

  • Comprised of neuro-psychological tests to determine if the problem is due to lack of oculomotor (hand eye) coordination and training for mirror writers, non-verbal children and reversal speech cases

  • Pad of exercise material includes both drawings of familiar objects and two to three word phrases
